A template depicting a densitometer reading of a proof copy is prepared and slides of the characteristics of each distributor roller are matched up to correspond to the template and the phases set accordingly.

The drawing schematically shows the proposed device.
The device contains a base 1 with guides 2. On the base 1, a profile curve 3 of paint consumption along the printing plate is plotted, depending on the angle of rotation of the plate cylinder, plotted on a scale 4, In the guides 2 there are movable rulers 5, the number of which corresponds to the number of roll cylinders . On the rulers, the profile paint supply curves 6 are plotted depending on the axial movement of the cylinders and marking marks 7, corresponding to the marks of the adjusting organs of the mechanism controlling the phase position of the axial movement of the roll cylinders.
The device works as follows.
A test print on the sheet with the help of a densitometer makes an integrated measurement of the required ink flow along the printing length. The resulting pattern of the curve 3 of the ink flow is applied to the base 1. With this adjustment, it is possible to optimally adjust the position of the change in the direction of the axial movement of the rubbing cylinders relative to the circumference of the form cylinder.
The proposed device makes it possible to determine the phase position of the axial movement of the roll cylinders according to objective criteria and to make an optimal adjustment before the start of the printing process, as a result of which there is no complicated adjustment during the operation of the machine.

A device for determining the phase position of the axial movement of the rolling cylinders of the inking machine of a printing machine, comprising a base with a direction, which is the profile of the ink flow along the printing form depending on the angle of rotation of the printing cylinder, and installed in the 1x base direction movable rulers, the number of which corresponds to the number of rolling cylinders, with profile paint supply curves applied to them depending on the axial movement of cylinders and marking marks and corresponding to the markings on the adjusting organs of the mechanism for adjusting the phase position of the axial movement of the roll cylinders.
